Customer Reviews
Decent Sound, Nice Design,
by John Villani, 2010-07-27
Have had mine for a couple of months.....it sounds OK for a small unit.....don't expect too much and you'll not be disappointed.
Can't Stream Audio!,
by Carrie B, 2010-07-26
I wish I had read all of the reviews before purchasing this. It can NOT stream audio without being plugged in. I bought it to stream Stitcher podcasts, Pandora, NPR apps, etc, and it automatically shuts itself off after 3 minutes unless it's plugged in, rendering it useless as a "portable" device.
Also, whenever you dock your iPhone it will automatically turn on the last song you were listening to in iTunes. Some might find that useful but I found it annoying since I then had to repeatedly turn off the music and go back through my apps to turn on the streaming audio I really wanted to listen to. Keep in mind this procedure happens every 3 - 5 minutes and you will quickly be searching for your return policy!
Probably a fine device if you don't use any features on your iPhone other than iTunes, but even if that's the case I'd recommend not handicapping yourself with this speaker system on the off chance you'd ever explore the other functionality on your phone.
Works great so far,

I just received this a few weeks ago but so far I like it. It sounds great for what I need.
Disposable speakers,
by LLee74, 2010-07-19
I should have sent this back under warranty when it stopped charging my iPod just a few months after purchase. After just over a year (barely past the limited 1-year warranty) the plug no longer charges the unit. When it worked it was great -- good sound, portability -- but now it's just a piece of junk destined for the landfill because I'm quite sure based on other reviews that Altec Lansing will suggest I just buy a new one.
Ipod listening,
by Mati Rani, 2010-07-19
Well, I'll be short. Very good sound. Point. Not so good connection with Ipods. My daughters gen 3 is perfecrt, my gen 4 is sometimes not 100% "connect and listen" . Will not charge the Ipod if not connected to the power. But all in all sounds really nice, crisp and good bass. So I'm happy with it for the time... well, for the 100 usd price could have a couple of FM memories, even if I had to pay 10 more..
