i purchased this with the understanding that it was compatible with 2G ipod touch. IT IS NOT!!!!!

This was a great little item, which I got for $5 and free shipping.
HOWEVER -- I could not get it to work w/ my iTouch 2G. A Griffin tech specialist said that it should work if I reboot my itouch - she even gave me the key sequence - but alas, it still would not work. I found another listing for one that is newer - I think called "Universal TuneJuice" , but I ended up with a Radio Shack model that cost more money and was larger and more cumbersome because it ran on AA batteries and I had to buy a special connector for the itouch. It worked, but I would have preferred this item. There are so many different models of iPods etc out there now that you have to be sure to read the fine print and make sure you know which devices it supports.

Plugged the unit into my IPod Touch prior to trans pacific trip. IPod battery was drained and Tune Juice never functioned. Changed batteries with the same results. Glad I didn't pay any more for it as it is useless.

Product is useless. Worked one time on fresh batteries and charged my Iphone 3gs from 50% to full charge. After that the batteries are dead. It won't do anything now.

Does not work with iPod 2nd generation. Do not buy if you have a new iPod.
