Not for a stock 97 F150,
by TLH, 2010-05-26
I tried multiple times to get this thing going, but it was no use. It plays for about two seconds, switches "sides," and plays for about two more seconds, and then gets spit out of the radio. Honestly, though, I have no idea whether it is just the radio, or the adapter, as I have not tried to get it to work in anything else. But, like the title says, it is NOT for a '97 F150.
Works fine,
by Charles R. Dewey, 2010-04-09
I had one of these that lasted 3 years before the cord connection frayed off. I tried the Sony CPA-9C, but my '99 Corolla cassette deck's auto reverse feature was too finicky. Bought this and everything works fine. If you're using an iPod, I suggest adding a PocketDock SoundStation to eliminate any volume problems.PocketDock Line Out USB
Works great for me--about a year,
by Foks, 2009-12-29
I said this in a comment but I felt compelled to make sure everyone saw it:
"Weird, mine's been fine for a year and I'm fairly picky. Maybe its the electronic you're using that has poor quality or you got a bad egg? I use a Sansa Fuze with it in my car, it works really great."
As soon as I turn my music up a little the "fuzz" sound is gone and hear pretty decent quality and I can play it very loudly with little distortion. For example, my ipod does not sound as good with it. Take that into consideration.
For speech it might be annoying but I don't really care about that, but if you do you may want to see if anyone gave good reviews for speech elsewhere.
Good quality, great price! Buy it and search no more.,
by Foks, 2009-12-29
It's cheaper on Amazon vs. in stores, but even at the higher price it was worth it to me. Sounds good, rarely hear any "fuzz" like other cheap tapes or most FM transmitters, never lost quality over time like I read in other reviews. Buy this, you won't have to buy another one--at least not for a long time because so far I've no issues and I've had mine a pretty long time. <3
Tape deck adapter,
by Peter M. Visel, 2009-08-14
This product was a poor one. While my music device was playing in made a very loud noise inside the tape deck of my used car. I wouldn't buy this product at any cost ever again.
