Does what it's advertised to do.,

Some products perform exactly as advertised. This one is even better. Saved buying the iPOD integration for Mazda3s about which everyone complains.
I installed this in my Mazda3 2010, controlling an older Gen 4 iPOD plugged into the center console. I initially placed the remote on the steering wheel where it worked fine. I then changed my mind when I realized that it would look better, be easier for a passenger, and be even more comfortable belted to the hand brake. Works perfectly anywhere in the car. Great device. Really cool.

I have owned this remote for over a year now and shared the same headaches and disappointments as other reviewers as to it's inability to charge and operate when plug in with a car charger. I had written this device off as one more device that apple chose not to make compatible with it's many ipod models and was in search of another option.But nothing gave me the convenience of wireless control and simultaneous power charging! That is until I recently updated my iPod Touch with the latest 4G software and purchased The new Belkin Auto Charger for iPhone/iPod and now the remote operates seemlessly and charges with no problems. No more connecting the RF adaptor first and then the audio cable. Just plug and Play!!! All features work albeit your iPod must be already set for music and unlock the screen because the playlist function will not operate. This shopuld be of little concern since now the unit will be powered of the charger.

I am extremely pleased with this item. I bought this remote to use with my IPod nano. I installed a speaker set for my Harley Road King and wanted a remote for the ipod. I seen someone use this remote on YouTube and loved it. My Ipod is stored in my saddle bag which is fiberglass and this remote has no problem operating right through it, even about 50+ feet away. I attached the remote to my 16 inch ape hanger handle bars and is very sturdy even going 60 miles an hour down the highway. I just have to make sure the velcro strap is tight. And when the bike is parked, I just take the remote off the cradle, put it in my pocket and go. I recommend this remote to anyone whether it's a car or motorcycle. You'll be pleased with it too. Oh, and some places sell this for more than $75, I paid less at Amazon.

This certainly isn't worth 70 dollars but its an okay item. Sometimes when I plug the piece into my ipod the sound goes silent in which I have to unplug that piece and the music will play. The buttons are pretty stiff, you gotta push them with authority but maybe with time they will be easier. Overall I'm satisfied. If I knew what I knew now would I buy it again? Probably not. If it was 30 dollars I might but at 70 bucks its not worth it.

After some research on car remotes I came to the Scosche. I was a little put-off by the price of the remote but after looking at others I saw it was quality. I especially like the ability to use the wireless remote and charge the ipod/iphone at the same time, a feature I didn't see on others. This is great when you're on the road. The remote fits pretty snug on the steering wheel and is also good for around your wrist for a day at the gym. The buttons are a little tight at first and my play/pause button needs to be pressed upwards instead of dead center for it to work (the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of five) Maybe a minor issue but one that can get annoying on the road. Overall, a quality product and one I recommend for anyone who drives and listens to their Ipod/Iphone, yes it works for both- I have an Iphone 3GS and as with many items it asks you to go into airplane mode because it's not made for the Iphone but it's not necessary, works fine. Sometimes you will need to restart your music or unplug and replug...do this before hitting the road.
