Good battery,

Once installed battery worked great. But trying to install it was such a pain. I almost just tossed the ipod. The tools bent and I ended up using a knife which I don't recommend because it scratches up your ipod quite a bit. Next time I would just have apple to it and pay up the cash.

My ipod is going on 6 years old now, and the battery was lasting no more then 15 minutes. I ordered this product after seeing a former coworker replace all of his batteries. It did come with instructions, but if you have common sense, you could replace this easily. There are also videos on [...] which are helpful im sure to some people.
My battery life lasts about 15- 20 hours, but I hop from song to song.

Purchased this battery to replace dead original iPod battery. Installation was easy, good documentation. Included tools a big plus. Battery live average. Allows me to squeeze another couple of years out of my 3rg generation 30GB iPod, which I mostly now use to transfer large files.

I was really skeptical about this product. My 3G IPod original battery could retain no power at all, but I wanted to keep my songs, so I tried this replacement. The plastic tools supplied with this item are useless, but small "jeweler" screwdrivers worked perfectly for me to open the case. I followed the instructions on the supplied disc and in a few minutes I had what turned out to be 5-6 hours of power instead of having none at all.

It took perhaps ~ 5 minutes to install the new battery. Anyone who has installed anything inside a PC will find the procedure to be trivial.
The new battery provides at least ~20 hours of playback, even with backlight use. The OE Apple *never* lasted this long.
It's like getting a new iPod for the price of the battery.
Worth every penny - very pleased!
