I am normally really careful with my phone - I clean it regularly, don't toss it around, handle with care, etc. But there's always that moment, when despite all that care the darn thing just slips out and falls... It happened twice this summer, straight down on a cement garage floor. Glass down! And not a ding, scratch, or malfunction. The case is a little roughed up, but heck that's the point. After taking it on and off so often (see above comment about being a cleaning freak) I cracked the thinnest little strip at the bottom of the case, but I fully intend to replace it with another one of these cases. Maybe I'll try a more spiffy color but the black/grey is really sharp!

Doesn't add that much extra bulk to the phone so you should still be able to slide it in and out of your pockets with ease. It's relatively dense plastic so I feel it protects my phone well enough. I own several cases for my phone and this is probably the most protective of all of them.

My Speck saved my phone--it fell out of my back bike shirt pocket at 25mph and bounced down the road. I picked it up, dusted it off, and the phone worked fine with not a scratch on it!!

This speck case is the best I've used of several assorted iPhone case styles from differing makers, as it combines small around cushion with a precision-fit low-profile hard shell. The case is smooth for easy insertion and removal in a pocket or bag. It may not be the best case for someone looking for something with a non-slip grip case.

It works perfectly and it's fine except like everyone else the buttom part that is kind of rubbery breaks later on.
Otherwise, it's great and one of my favorite, been using it for awhile now.
